White Peony Tea is also known a Pai Mu Tan or Bai Mu Dan. This low caffeine tea is made from unopened downy silvery buds and two delicate leaves during early spring season from clonal bushes. We procure these handcrafted tea which is made in small batches from our associate tea farmers. This Tea requires minimal processing as compared to other varieties of tea which helps in retaining its natural anti-oxidant proprieties to maximum. Due to the inclusion of two delicate leaves along with the silver needles this tea produce a pleasing mix of white , brown and green leaves and buds.. the aroma and flavour are more fuller and fruity as compared to silver needles type of tea. Enjoy this mellow , sweet and fresh tea throughout the day as a perfect mood uplifter & revival .
INGREDIENTS:
Organic two leaves and a Bud Tea.
STEEPING NOTES:
Water Qty: 180-190 ml
Tea Qty: 2-3 Grams or 2 tsp
Temp to Boil: 75°c – 80°c
Steep Time: 2-3 Minutes
Strain and Serve.
White Peony Tea can be resteeped up to 3 times . Just add hot water to the infused leaves and keep the steeping times longer than the first cup.
Suggested Condiments :
1.) Drink plain hot
2.) Honey / sugar
3.) Lemon or holy basil infused
We recommend to sip this tea piping hot!!!
Best Paired with: Breakfast , sandwiches, baked savouries, scrumbled eggs, spaghetti, Nuts, steamed vegetables.
