INGREDIENTS:
Orthodox black tea, Chili flakes, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cardamom, and Cloves.
STEEPING NOTES:
Water Qty: 180ml
Tea Qty: 2 Grams or 1 tsp
Temp to Boil: 80°c
Steep Time: 4-5 Minutes
Strain and Serve.
This tea can be re-steeped multiple times. Just add hot water to the infused leaves and keep the steeping time longer than the first cup.
TASTE NOTES:
Brisk, Peppery, Aromatic with a Spicy Mouthfeel
Suggested Condiments :
1) Drink plain
2) Add honey/sugar
3) Add lemon
4) Add freshly crushed mint leaves.
Please do not add milk to this decoction as it will result in curdling of milk, which is undesirable.
This tea can be enjoyed both hot and as an iced tea.
To make iced tea just brew 2 tsp (4gms) tea leaves in 180 ml boiled water and prepare the tea. Then pour the tea into the tumbler and add Honey /sugar as per taste and ice cubes to the decoction (you may add lemon if required ) and yippy! your delicious iced tea is ready…. cheers!!
Best Paired with: Sandwiches, Biscuits, Deep fried snacks like Samosas and Pakoras.
